Why we exist ... our strategy ... our objectives
One of the most critical needs in the Body of Christ around the world today is the development of leaders prepared and equipped with vision, values, skills, and a clear mandate to be Kingdom change agents in all walks of life and spheres of society.
The body of Christ will not grow beyond its leadership; therefore, it is crucial that the leadership factor be given top priority in all thinking and strategic planning for future growth.
These leaders must be adequately equipped with values, vision, and skills to lead God’s people as true servants and Kingdom change agents in all spheres of society.
Traditional models of training are not able to meet this need in quality or quantity. Far too much focus has been placed on the accumulation of knowledge instead of life transformation and the impartation of leadership skills. While we affirm the valid role played by traditional educational models, we are convinced that they are not adequate to meet all the challenges of current leadership realities. New ways of training must be developed that will enable the Body of Christ to grow to its fullest potential.
Like no other time in history, travel and technology make it possible for the Body of Christ around the globe to work together to provide quality, Christ-centered leadership development worldwide. The richness of what God has sown in different parts of the world is much more easily shared with other parts than ever before. The shrinking size of our world allows greater ease in sharing of resources from one part of the globe to another. Modern travel allows leaders to access other areas like never before in history. The need is great and the time is right for a new approach to leadership development.
The Kingdom Life Institute’s Response
KLI believes that new models of leadership training are needed which:
- Prepare servant leaders with Biblical, Christ-centered character and values
- Provide leadership training that is spiritually dynamic, contextually appropriate, professionally relevant, and of state of the art quality
v Affirm the global nature of the Body of Christ and the richness of its cultural diversity by making local gifting and specializations available to the international Body
v Reflect the Biblical mandate by preparing leaders for influence in various walks of life
v Are locally available and affordable
v are presented in a format compatible with the demands of every day life and service
We believe that these objectives are best met in a global alliance composed of locally owned and operated leadership development programs offering specialized leadership training at the post high schoollevel. By linking together as an international alliance every local leadership program can benefit from the whole, and every part can be enabled to give its unique gifts. In this alliance clusters of churches and Christian leaders in various professions shape leadership training modules to serve local needs and the richness of what God has sown locally can also be multiplied as it is shared with the international Body through the global alliance.
Kingdom Life Institute is a global institute for leadership development - an international network of locally owned leadership development programs preparing leaders for service in strategic sectors of society by offering specialized leadership training at the post high schoollevels.
Advantages
An international leadership institute consisting of a global network of locally owned programs has numerous advantages:
v Leadership training that is both contextual and global. Our training contains components that are universal principles which each local program will apply to their leadership context.
v Specialized leadership development of international quality at an affordable cost. Kingdom Life Institute will maintain a high educational standard but allow each local branch to determine its own pricing based upon the local economy.
v maximizing the contributions of local and international resource persons - enabling world-class teaching at every location without high overhead costs. This may be done through shared media resources or by facilitating the travel of teachers from one area to another.
v minimizing the need for costly facilities. Kingdom Life Institute will function with a minimal staff for administrative purposes. The training will take place at locations determined by the local programs.
v the multiplication and dissemination of local specializations and resources throughout the network – which would otherwise not be globally accessible.
v The global institute structure enables interface with other educational institutions in a manner which would not be possible for individual local programs. This will greatly enhance the provision of accreditation for local programs.
Priority
Kingdom Life Institute’s strategic priority is unsaturated, disadvantaged, and least engaged populations. Therefore, priority will be given to facilitating the development of centers, programs, and leaders of many nations and cultures, whose focus is to serve these populations. It is commonly acknowledged that the least engaged populations are generally in the developing nations of

The profiles of potential participants in the institute programs include:
v Current leaders in church or professions with a perceived need for leadership training in the various specializations of Kingdom Life Institute.
v Emerging leaders with a vision to bring the influence of the Kingdom to their professional field or vocation.
- To catalyze local leadership development initiatives around the globe
- To develop an international network of local member programs
- To create a resource pool of leadership development resource persons and materials
- To provide a leadership development learning & curriculum framework based in the foundational principles and values of Kingdom Life Institute
- To establish standards and supply resources for ensuring sustainable program quality for member programs

- To facilitate accreditation for member program graduates with other accrediting bodies and institutions
